Little walking is involved, but marshals spend most of their time in the sun and on their feet. So, sunscreen and plenty of water are recommended. Small, portable, camping-style chairs are permitted for marshals.

Walking scorers are responsible for creating the live scoring and live statistics that are shared with the golf world through PGATOUR.com and the GOLF CHANNEL television broadcast.

Golf Knowledge:
Significant golf knowledge is required for all walking scorers as you will be inside the ropes for the duration of the round. A complete grasp of golf etiquette is essential as well.
