Saturday was another picture perfect day at Mayakoba. Today was the warmest day of the week, but still great. Today on the course I walked with the group of JJ Henry, Briny Baird, and Chris Riley, two of those players (JJ Henry and Briny Baird) I walked with during my 2008 journey. Both players played well and are in contention for a Sunday run at the title.
After walking El Camaleón Golf Club for the last three days I have really noticed some cool nuances with this Greg Norman design. For example the cenote that runs down the first fairway that was given the nickname Devils Mouth by a PGA TOUR player during the first year of the tournament. I also enjoyed seeing the canal system that runs throughout the course, and occasionally you would see boats running down the canals. Another interesting fact about El Camaleón Golf Club are the unique arching bridges that rn over the canals.
Tonight for dinner we ate at Yaxche, which features Mayan cuisine and this restaurant has been the best restaurant for food and ambience I have experienced while here in Playa del Carmen. I would definitely recommend dining at Yaxche during your next visit.

El Camaleón is aptly named for its diverse layout and ever-changing landscape, which bends through tropical jungles, dense mangroves and oceanfront stretches.
