Gay Captures First Title
In his 293rd career start, veteran Brian Gay captured his first PGA TOUR title, winning the second annual Mayakoba Golf Classic by two strokes. Gay carded rounds of 66, 67, 62 and 69 en route to a 16 under par 264. Steve Marino (67-69-64-66-266) finished alone in second, followed by Matt Kuchar (68-69-64-67-268) and John Merrick (64-68-69-67-268). Mexico's Esteban Toledo (70-69-63-72-274) finished 11th.
