European Tour's Graeme McDowell & Jose Manuel Lara Also To Compete
PLAYA DEL CARMEN, Mexico -- A pair of players each with two career PGA TOUR victories announced today they will compete in the Mayakoba Golf Classic at Riviera Maya-Cancún.
Jerry Kelly, who captured the Merrill Lynch Shootout in November, will come to El Camaleón Golf Club seeking his third TOUR victory as will 2006 Ryder Cup member Vaughn Taylor when México's first PGA TOUR event gets underway next Thursday, February 22.

Kelly, who won the 2002 Sony Open in Hawaii and the Advil Western Open, has finished among the top 40 on the TOUR's official money list five of the last six years. Meanwhile, Taylor was a rookie member of the U.S. Ryder Cup team a year ago. In his first two full seasons on the PGA TOUR, he has won each year with a victory in the 2004 and 2005 Reno Tahoe Open. A year ago, he accumulated six top ten finishes and was 35 on the official money list. A few weeks ago, he finished tied for 11th at the FBR Open in Phoenix.
Tournament officials also announced today that European Tour players Graeme McDowell and Jose Manuel Lara have accepted invitations to compete. Both are proven champions on the European Tour. McDowell, from Northern Ireland, won the 2002 Scandinavian Masters and Italia Open and finished sixth on the Order of Merit. He played on the PGA TOUR last year, but has returned full-time to the European Tour.
Lara, from Valencia, Spain, is currently seventh on the European Tour's Order of Merit. In October, he captured the Hong Kong Open.
The final opportunity for PGA TOUR members to commit to the Mayakoba Golf Classic at Riviera Maya-Cancún will be today at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
